Cities & locations

Weitere Informationen unten.

Entering and changing locations in the program (from version 3.3.0):

The "Edit" button is located below the location list. If you press this, three more switches become visible:

"New": Activate this switch and then click on the position on the map where the place is located. Enter the place name in the dialog window that now appears. In the two fields Posx/y you can specify the shift of the place name compared to the point of the place in pixels. This can be used to control that the place name does not cover other names. The Zoom field is always deactivated. The fields Long/Lat indicate the exact position of the place. They are already preset, but can also be changed manually. With the field Einw. you can use the number of inhabitants (always in millions ) to determine how big the point of the place and the font should appear in the highest map resolution. The location is always displayed from the resolution that is currently active when the location is entered. So if the place is very small, first zoom in to the highest resolution and only then set the place.

"Change": Click with the left mouse button on a place name on the map. This will then turn red. Or select a location from the list. Then press the "Change" button. You can now change the settings described above.

"Delete": Click with the left mouse button on a place name on the map. This will then turn red. Or select a location from the list. Then press the "Delete" button. The location will now be deleted.
